Democrats Bray While Republicans Howl
Meanwhile the slightly more sane independents are looking and listening closely to what Romney said on that sneaky video. I just finished listening to the complete video, yes I watched too. All 49 minutes of it not counting instant replays and half time intermission.
For a guy who is a total amateur when it comes to "the game" of politics, he seems to have, maybe accidentally, played an excellent move with independents.
Foreign Affairs
Hard to argue that Gov. Romney doesn't have a grasp on the Israel/Palestinian situation. One of the best and most logical descriptions I have heard from either side. To have that clear of an understanding indicates further knowledge of the underlying sentiments creating the chaos in the middle-east.
He delivered a strong message of strength. A strength that does not beat people over the head. A strength that tells people they aren't going to beat us over the head.
Our Troops, Our Lead
If a situation develops when U.S. men and women have to be committed, we can not take a lead from behind stance. Placing our troops under the command of others is not acceptable at any time. That is my own opinion, I didn't hear anybody actually say that in the video. I do stand by it. When one pledges to lay down their life in defense of their country they should only be required to take orders from those who have taken the same oath.
47% Out Of 100 % Of The Spectrum
Now this is the one that created a liberal feast. Shouldn't have. His remarks showed a clear understanding of the demographics he faces. This forty-seven percent isn't made up of just the poor and needy. Every kind of hustler, loafer, schemer and greedy jerk from all income levels choose to spend their energies finding ways to beat the system. Their chosen way of life is being threatened.
Of course they are going to stay with the liberal agenda. I see a good grasp of knowing what he is facing in the logistics of this campaign. I also noticed how naturally and easily he immediately became recognized as being in control of that fundraiser. A glimpse of leadership in action off camera. Well, it was supposed to be.
More Insight Than Convention
It is long, and you have to keep playing with the volume. Watching this I recommend highly. Especially to undecided independents. Link.
A bit more on foreign policy. We are strong enough to not have to bluff. We are rich enough to not have to beg. Equality is an American platform. Deal with other peoples as equals regardless of cultures or alliances. No American is favored over another, no country should be favored over another. Practice American values around the globe rather than preach them and coerce them upon others.
